In MIDI » Link mode, you should be able to start the timeline of your MIDI anywhere into the song and, provided it sends MIDI Song Position Pointer and MIDI continue messages, MIDI Link Sync will be able to bring the Ableton Link timeline into sync.
However, we have found that in Auria when you do attempt this, the timeline won't always come into sync. We are investigating why this is happening. By contrast, if you use Cubasis, the timeline will come into perfect sync.
